ON LEARNING MUSIC - DAVID KENT

David Kent says in his introduction: "There are many misconceptions held on the ability of the human mind to hold and recall such a volume of work as that consisting of our choir's repertoire. This is not an exhaustive study of the capacity and ability of the human mind, but it does give enough information on the subject to appreciate the capability that lies within us all to commit our music to memory".

This paper has five chapters, Change Your Attitude, Know Your Capabilities, Exercise Your Memory, Memorise Your Music and Bibliography.

The publication is available from the Cape Town Male Voice Choir at R10,00.
